If you have visited other areas of Florida, the
natural, preserved beauty of the Nature Coast will be a thrilling
experience. The Gulf of Mexico, crystal clear spring fed rivers and the
Withlacoochee River/Lake Rousseau will offer you boating, great fishing
(redfish, trout, cobia, grouper, snook and largemouth bass,), scalloping,
tubing, kayak and canoe trips, nature trails for biking and walking, and
wildlife to entertain you on your voyage. Our local waters run through
areas of towering pines, large grand daddy oaks, palms, and cypress
trees. You will see cranes, osprey, egrets, herons, bald eagles and a
variety of other birds. Bike or hike the beautiful nature trails through
habitat that is over a century preserved. Snorkel and dive in our crystal
clear springs, underground caverns and swim with the manatee. Our
outstanding waterways have been featured in many outdoor magazines.
For the golf enthusiast - there are 50 golf courses
located throughout the Coast. There are several golf course communities
with homes, condominiums and villas. A few of these communities have
rolling hills and large oaks.
Rainbow Springs in Dunnellon has a beautiful golf
course and a private beach on the crystal clear Rainbow River and has
recently been featured in the July/August of 2007 issue of "Where
to Retire" as one of America's 100 Best Master-Planned Communities.
If hunting is your forte, the Nature Coast will provide
you with deer, hogs, turkey and quail and more. There are several Clubs
and Guides in the area..
Great restaurants, shops, wildlife parks, recreational
activities, historic areas, and galleries are located all along the Nature
Coast.
I have lived on Lake Rousseau/Withlacoochee River for
several years. I have spent my spare time fishing the rivers and the Gulf
of Mexico, boating, and kayaking and photographing the wildlife.
There is an eagle's nest near my home and it has been great to watch the
pair arrive in August, rebuild their nest, have their young and leave us
in May or June. If you visit my website:
Flahomesandland.com, the nest
is at the top of the page. I have also enjoyed fishing from my
kayak in the Gulf with friends and getting up close with nature.
During my several years as a Realtor along the Nature
Coast, I have been a Multi Million Dollar Producer and have helped many
buyers find that perfect property. I will spend the time and effort to
help you with your real estate needs. I work with my community to make it
a better place to live. I have volunteered in Dunnellon in the plans for
development of the small city. I served as the Program Manager for their
Main Street Organization and was a member of the local Kiwanis Club. I
also volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. By keeping involved with the
Community, I am able to provide my customers with information which will
help them decide on the community that fits their lifestyle. The great
thing about our area is that you can pick city life or country life or
something in between.
